Default Govenor Removal

I have my rearend tore apart so I can weld the spider gears and would like to remove all the governor parts. I remember seeing a post of someone doing this and they put a plug in the shaft hole. Anyone know of the thread or maybe something close. Thanks Clayton

If I recall right you can drill and tap it to either a 3/8x18 or a 5/16 and put a bolt in.

Ok, Thanks. Do you know if the piece on the gear shaft needs to be removed as well? Clayton
