Default Harley 2 stroke

On a rebuild of a 1968 h4 Harley 2 stroke engine I split the front case ( clutch side) replaced a jug ,piston and resealed the case .. It is back together and seems to have a lot of crankshaft end play . The bearing looked and felt ok , I did notice the front half of the case was scored. What next ? Thanks
