Yamaha Drive carb / air filter issue

So let me try this again, keeping in mind to be 'politically correct' and not start anything.
I do tend to drive in rather dusty conditions. My 'black rubber' aftermarket filter is of the K & N variety. Based on the experience of the pro's here, and based on my conditions, would it be recommended that I use an original paper style air filter instead to assure optimum dust filtering ?

Oh, you have a k&n... Next thing to check is compression. The real k&n i have seen do not have the whole seal to go around the airbox and allow dirt.
