hey, thanks for the advice, just trying to keep it in the "if i dont gotta buy it , i aint" column. cuz, like everyone else ...aint got it to buy it and if i find something that works ( or dont), makes us all look smarter. besides that i gotta spring for a new clutch.......shag

If it's a clean round hole you can try to use a same size stainless screw with a rubber washer on it and nut.
Put the rubber washer on the screw, super glue the screw to a coathanger, (coathanger so you can bend it if needed) let it dry, stick it down the filler hole and stick it in the hole, screw the nut on from the outside, grab the threads sticking through the nut with small plier and tighten the nut. Break off coathanger, drink a beer! |

Snowmobiles use a neopream plug with a push in fitting for pick up you might look into those.
