Re: Precedent rear brakes
OK, so the CC dealer would be correct in their statement:
When I first got my cart the CC dealer told me to back up real fast and hit the brakes hard several times to help adjust them up! Just trying to see where the bad advice is. |

Re: Precedent rear brakes
the slides are very important they have the adjuster on them and need the movement of the brake shoe to adjust and then recenter your brakes after they have been applied.

Re: Precedent rear brakes
Thanks for the responses/opinion's.
Fixer is right, the brakes are gonna adjust, no mater if the car is going forward or backward. It took me way to long, and fixer pulling my head out of my ---, for me to realize that. Now where did I put my beer? Thanks again - Dave |

Re: Precedent rear brakes
I've been having the same problem and searched to find this thread. The brakes were up so tight and were stuck off center. I pull the drums (not easy since the were locked on) and sprayed the adjuster and top pivot point with WD-40 and then backed the brakes off enough to get the drums back on. Had to do both wheels but now it drives fine. Before just a medium pressure on the pedal would cause the brakes to "pulse" as if the drum was out of round. I checked them as best as I could and they seem OK. Runs fine now.
