Re: 2005 quits
It looks like in the 2007 DS IQ the diode got incorporated into the harness, but then again sometimes things shown in wiring diagrams don't make into production.
2007 Club Card DS IQ Wiring Diagram How about just unplugging the speed sensor (for testing) and driving around to see if it cuts off. The cart will drive in limp mode but it will not engage Regen brake. |

Re: 2005 quits
There were no diodes in the harness of the 06 I was on. I tore that harness down six ways to Sunday looking. I remember being taught to check those in the class with Daniel down the David. They are no what you'd call very easily accessible later on either.

Re: 2005 quits
That's a good plan and nice of RevolutionGolfCars to extend that offer to you.
On a personal note, if you have a chance to disconnect the 3-pin speed sensor plug from the end of the motor and drive the cart, it may help us create a diagnostic step if someone else has this issue in the future. Since you can consistently reproduce the problem, it will quickly verify if the Regen system is a factor on the problem. |

Disconnected the speed sensor and the cart quit after 50 ft. No Change

Re: 2005 quits
busman9,
After doing some more research and reading maintenance and service books from Club Car, it appears that there should be a diode in the wire harness. If you follow the grey wire (pin 9) from the connector in the controller down into the harness, it should be no less than 8-10 inches deep into the wire loom. It's suggesting that you remove that diode and connect the wires together before installing the dropout harness. Check it and see if the diode is there. It came from a 2005 DS IQ book... |
