Re: Rear differential oil
After all the discussion about oil weight, I decided to call the CC distributer here in Tampa, Fl. They use 90w in all their cars. I also asked about using a high detergent oil, and they really had no issues.
Since mine was real dirty when I drained it, I will run the HD30 I just put in for a week or two. Then I'll drain and refill with the 90w. This should probably work for anyone in a warm climate. Go Noles, whip up on those Sooners. |

Re: Rear differential oil
I hate to continue the apparent confusion. I called the club car technical hotline and spoke to a technician. He said for electric precedents use 30W in the differential. He said the heavier weight oil is for gas models. I know nothing about this, I am just reporting what he said.

Re: Rear differential oil
Wesson vegatable oil, not that crappy peanut oil though!
Hemp seat covers. Use only fresh Denver mountain air in your tires. And, of course, use only Air Conditioner runoff water in your batteries..... |

Re: Rear differential oil
This thread is called: "Rear differential oil" under CC Electric
Club Car calls for 30w in Electric Carts and 80-90 in Gas Carts... so I'll just stay with what Club Car recommends So None of the below for me in my ELECTRIC CART: Chicken Fat Pam Wesson Oil Baby Lotion Silicon Spray Bacon grease Crisco 90WT PS: Have a Street Legal CC does 26 MPH without trying, 28 MPH max, using 30wt "Purple" in Hot Florida Weather with nearly double the Speed Code 3 speeds of 14.7 MPH... been over 2 1/2 years without any problems, noise, etc. |
