![]() I have a 2012 EZGO RXV that will intermittently not release the motor brake when turning the key on. Sometimes it takes multiple cycles of the key switch and it will finally disengage.
I have seen where the brake and accelerator pedal have to be fully released for it to perform its startup cycle. I have a Curtis handheld, I’m wondering what parameters I need to be looking for to diagnose the problem. Only error codes I am receiving are, main solenoid not closing and charger input supervision. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

![]() Try a new 36v Trombetta stock solenoid and see if that fixes your problem.

![]() Ibam having the same issue on my 2008 RXV. I replaced the solenoid but that didn't help so the brake pedal switch is my next target. I also tried to put the cart into "tow" mode when the issue happened and that also wouldn't release the brake but did release it when it was operating normally.
Will let you know if I find anything but unfortunately because I have the Danaher controller I don't have access to any debug tools. |

Check to see if you're getting voltage at the brake switch. Switch is normally closed. |

![]() Charger input supervision can happen if the little blue wire that is going to the charger receptacle is failing/circuit is failing. Often happens if they got wet or it was sitting in a hard rain. The car won't run as it thinks that it's plugged into a charger. You can 'fix' this by unplugging the connector from the rear of the receptacle and clip-lead the wire to B+ and see what happens then. Just fixed one like that that also had a bad solenoid.
