Default 2010 RXV 48V CONTROLLER OR MOTOR? with video!

I have a 2010 RXV that I ran into issues that started with the charge plug and a short at the charger. Replaced the plug and charged fine. New batteries are charging to 12.8+ and even.

I ran the cart to put out the trash and when I got back on it and hit the accelerator it started to buck in place. I turned the key off and then switched it back on and put it in neutral and tow and the brake disengaged fine. Put it back in FW and it bucked four or five times then started to go. Ran it back to the garage no problem full speed no bucking or slowing down and plugged it in.

Next day charge was full but couldn’t get the cart to move. Same little bucking but then just made a strange sound when in FW OR RV and wouldn’t go. Tow works fine still. Buzzers work fine.

I replaced the solenoid just in case as I had one around. Tested fine both ways.

I recorded the sound and posted here:

I don’t have a diag tool and put out a request on FB to rent one from anyone around my area. Anyone run into this in the past?

About to test the three cables into the motor (I think for impedance?) any recommendations appreciated.

TIA

Could be the bearing encoder inside the motor. Enclosed the Troubleshooting Guide, that should help a lot.

Thx - I might as well pull it and run the tests all at one and clean it up since the encoder is inside. Worst case it’s pulled and I can take it the shop 60 minutes away and have them bench test if I get stumped but totally obsessed it figure it out myself.

I read a TON of forums and watched YouTube on RXV and never had I heard of this noise!

Appreciate the link.
