[ATTACH]11320150110_145633.jpg

Hi ..first post ever. My inlaws ezgo txt we tried to find a spot for the click in speed chip on the controller but there is no spot for it like my txt..pic is attached. So....is there a simple way to increase speed on this cart?? I'll try to attach more pics so u guys can see model year etc. Cart serial stamp says C300
1258374. It has the forward reverse lever by the legs.
Thanks!

You have a 2000 ezgo txt series golf cart. The only ways to make it faster are:

1) increase tire size
2) increase voltage
3) change gear ratio
4) change motor

alpha, Welcome to BGW!

The "speed chip" only fits TXT PDS carts. and your cart is a TXT Series cart, not a PDS cart. Sportcoupe's list is correct for your style drivetrain.

In addition to what has already been said about increasing the speed of a series drive cart, a 2000 model is 15 years old, so the cart may have electrical and/or mechanical issues keeping it from reaching the nominal stock speed of 13-14 MPH.

How fast does the cart go on a hard level surface?
How fast do you want it to go?

All great replies so far thanx and JohnnieB to answer your Q yes, my in-laws ezgo does go stock 13/14 mph currently..seems to be well maintained over the years, just was seeing what options they have available to make it go near 20 (like my txt does w/ the chip)

Anyway, I guess these are the options as sportcoupe says....
1) increase tire size
2) increase voltage
3) change gear ratio
4) change motor

Running the old 36v motor on 48v is the biggest bang for the buck performance wise.
