Default 2000 ezgo freedom? Is it worth the trade?

Hello everyone. This is my first post on this site. I don't know a lot about golf carts at the moment but I'm trynig to catch on.

Here's what I need help with. I have the opportunity to trade my zero turn mower that I paind $625 for a 36 volt 2000 ezgo freedom. Haven't seen it except for in a pic. Very basic car, looks very clean though and supposedly has new batteries.

So, to make this cart into what I want (a hunting buggy) I would have to
-add a folding back seat
-lift
-wheels, tires
-48 volt conversion
-plum quick motor for torque (is what I think I want)
-ungrade controller (I think this is required from posts I've read here

My concern is that I will end up with $6000 in a cart that is worth $4000. Does it sound like that will be the case or am I on the right track?

What parts am I leaving out? Would be looking for 20-25 mph and high torque

Thank you in advance. Love the site

Gotta pay to play and a cart is more fun than a mower... I don't know much about freedoms but someone will chime in on that.

Good luck and have fun.

Freedom only means it came with factory lights.

Well if you say your mower worth around 625$$ i think you can't go wrong with a deal like that.. Even if the batteries are not brand new.....

I think I'm going to make the trade.
The only thing stopping me is that I really want a 48 volt club car. Just can't find one.
How much of an improvement will I see from the 48 volt conversion.

that is a no brainer trade if you have 625 into the z mow your getting a nice car for cheap just check for rusted battery compartment club cars are nice but they have their issues also

Not accurate. I have come across Freedom carts with 400 amp Curtis controllers. Freedom is a trim level and can change from year to year, or even within a year. There were also different "levels" of Freedom carts.

Many txt and all rxv that are "freedom" also means speed upgrade from the factory to 19mph. On a txt, the stock motor will say on the label "flt spd" =14mph, or "hi spd" =19mph.
