Re: Little help with my 2000 club car golf cart
Scottyb it's really only had 1 speed fast I hit the pedal and it took right off there was no "crep" mode even if I tried to slowly do it it would just take off and if I put it in reverse it would hop and hop and then go into reverse like the motor was bucking I guess

Test your motor. You can use jumpers off two of the batteries for 16 volts. If the motor is bad, none of the other stuff matters.

If You put pack positive there, it would have fried the controller Mosfet as soon as it tried to turn on as it would be a direct path to pack negative. The way You describe how the cart worked, is more in line with you putting pack negative on the Orange wire. Please verify the wires go to the same places as shown in the wire diagram for your cart. The throttle resistance test only proves the throttle is ok, not that the controller has the signal it needs. The controller works on voltage, not resistance. You need +48v on controller pin #1 when the solenoid engages. You need to see the voltage go from 0v to 5v at the controller pin #3 as You go from pedal up to pedal down.. If the above is present, the controller is bad. |

Re: Little help with my 2000 club car golf cart
Thanks Sergio here's what I got
At red wire pin 1 I have 48volts when pedal is pressed in At pin 3 yellow wire pedal in up position reads 0volts fully pressed in reads very low 0.152 As for the Orange wire situation here's what I did to make the cart run my last battery in the setup the battery that has the negative go to the controller on that battery if I take a jumper from the battery positive side and go to the Orange wire on the motor it will run like crazy just seems to have the wires heat up I hope this helps you figure out my mess |
