Default V Glide Full Throttle Postion

Here's a pic of my v glide at full throttle. The wiper arm is in between to top plate and the one next to it. Should it be contacting just the top plate?

Thank you. I'll adjust wiper to top plate only.

If you don't adjust it, almost all the current will flow only through the portion of the wiper pad that is touching that last Vglide pad.

The reason I opened the v glide was the cart keeps going after the pedal is released. I figured the problem was in the v glide, so I took it apart cleaned ,adjusted and put it back together.
Didn't solve problem. Cart still wants to go when pedal is released.
It barely creeps, like at low speed.
What is my next step ?
Thanks,Muddog

Did you do anything with the micro switch in the v glide.

The only 2 failure possibilities are:
  1. The main solenoid is welded closed.
  2. The micro-switch in the V-Glide is shorted or not being activated.

Make sure the solenoid coil (small posts) only have +36v when the pedal is pressed.

If that is the case, replace the solenoid as the main contacts are welded.

If the solenoid coil has +36v the entire time and the V-Glide wiper arm is pressing the micro-switch, replace the micro-switch.

Checked mirco switch. Throttle up: no continuity Throttle down: continuity.
I have constant 36v across top solenoid lugs at all times.

Did you mean with the meter probes on both big posts (across)?

Or did You measure from each big post to pack negative?

If the big post connected to the V-Glide has +36v with the pedal UP, the solenoid contacts are welded and it needs to be replaced.

Measured across posts. 36v constant.
Replaced solenoid. Haven't tested yet.
Trying to adjust throttle, can't get rod loose from pedal
Does the throttle rod just pop off the ball ?
Thanks, Muddog
