Default Controller Problem????

My Bad Boy Ambush came with a Curtis 1234 controller, yet at some point one of the repairs guys I took it to change out the controller to a Curtis SepEx 1268. It doesn't look like they changed any of the wiring, just a swap out. My buggy goes forward but if I stop for more than 6 seconds it clicks off into fault mode. If I try to go into reverse it rocks forward than goes into fault mode. Fault 13, according to the SepEx manual this is a speed sensor fault, which I have changed out, but there is no difference.

Is this a controller problem? Should I buy a Curtis 1234 or a Curtis SepEx to replace it? Do I have to worry about finding someone to program it or is it just a straight swap out? Or do I need to look at all my wires for a short?

Thanks for your input!
