Re: Solenoid clicks, cart still won't go
I was able to run tests for the ITS:
B- to Controller Pin-2 (black), I was able to get 14.3V once the solenoid activated. B- to Controller Pin-1 (white), I got .5V after the solenoid clicked, and 1.7V when I pressed in the throttle. For the Motor: I was struggling to get a good consistant reading on the resistance tests (likely user error), but I did hook up the motor to a 12V battery and the motor did work. Based on previous information, does this leave me with a bad controller? With everything esle seeming to be eliminated, I believe that will be my next move (along with replacing all of the cables running to the motor, just in case). Unless anyone has another idea, I am off to order a controller. Thanks for all of the feedback. This has definitely been a learning experience. |

Re: Solenoid clicks, cart still won't go
This would be a good time to upgrade to a better controller.

Alltrax is a popular aftermarket controller.
Read the how to figure out what you need stuff at the top of the page. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Custom_Options.html |

Re: Solenoid clicks, cart still won't go
Thanks for all of the help! It was the contoller. I decided against upgrading. Knowing my luck, I was worried that I would get the upgraded controller, install it, and then nothing would happen. This was my very first go around with a golf cart and golf cart repairs. I am excited for winter to come so my wife will not be upset when I take her cart "out of service" for some customizing

thanks for the motor info, going to try that tomorrow to see if it moves. Will it work with a 6 volt?

Re: Solenoid clicks, cart still won't go
Let me add maybe a stupid answer.......... is it a resistor type I think I mean a series type or solid state.... I have the same thing on my 89 and the accelerator control board and contacts were in bad shape ..... I will be replacing them and if that doesn't fix mine .... then i will be back here asking you for help !
