Default cost of upgrading to 48 volt

1998 ezgo electric 36 volt non Dcs
what do i need and how much will this cost me?

You're going to need 2 more 6 volt batteries (& the ability to relocate stuff in order to fit them in your cart), a 48 volt charger, & a controller. You need to talk to ScottyB & decide what your future plans will be.

There are several variables which will affect cost of doing it......if you're going to stay with a stock motor, you can get by with a 300 or 400 amp controller, but if you ever plan to get a hot motor, I'd recommend paying a little more & getting the 500 amp or larger, which will give you more power, even with the stock motor.

I CAN highly recommend the upgrade! I just got finished doing this on my DCS cart, & the difference is amazing!

6/8v drop right in your EZ TXT series cart. You will need to cut the battery hold down to fit back on. Once you have a 48v battery pack you will need:
48v controller and solenoid
48v charger
HD F&R
Upgraded cables.
