Default I think i'm catching the lift bug...

Just bought a '93 gas EZGO Marathon earlier this week and she's bone stock of course. In the process of adding some nice switches, lights, etc. right now.

I said i was going to wait awhile before i spent money on a lift, tires and wheels (especially since the previous owner just put brand new tires and wheels on the cart).

It sounds like Jake's Lifts are pretty common with the folks on here. Just wondering if that's the only brand/kit i should consider or if there are others out there? Or more economical options.

I don't plan to go offroad (we have atv's) so this is just for cruising around our property up north. There will be at least 3 of us riding the cart in case weight makes a difference...and were not a small family (at least my son and I) I'm 6'5" 280lbs and my 14yr old is 6' 170lbs. I've always owned lifted Jeeps when i was younger so i just want something taller and off-road looking (most the area by our place is gravel roads).

Not too familiar with Marathons but I'd say you want to go with a dropped axle lift and looks like Jakes makes them, All Sports is another big supplier but they only make a block lift for the Marathons, which I wouldn't waste my money on. Trouble is most suppliers are out of stock on everything.

BTW,, Really nice Marathon..

I have used a Steeleng lift, it was very well built and directions were excellent. My model was a Workhorse, but the front suspensions are very similarly builton most ezgo carts. Your rear suspension is coil springs I believe, so that's a bit different.

This is my 82 CC/DS with the 6 inch HD Lift kit.
Unloaded the front is a bit stuff, but with the batteries things should soften up.

I’m looking at this Sgc coil over for my 06 DS. What’s your opinion after install and use?
