Default Wheel hub question...I have no castle nut...

I would tell you what kind of cart I have but the guy that sold it to me made a frankenstein...anyways I have never seen a hub like this before...

Assuming you are looking for help still, I suggest maybe you should just show some pictures of your cart. A picture is worth a thousand words as the saying goes. Other members are more likely to respond and we might get somewhere. There are many Chinese clones out there but only made in a handful of factories. In answer to the question you appear to be asking, a little backlash in the differential is fairly normal in those axles in my experience.
It may not be a Frankenstein cart as you put it but probably just an early Chinese copy of an EZGO as most were in the early days.
