Gas vs electric
I know this debate has been discussed a million times and I have read several posts discussing it. I am stuck between the two, however. I am either going to build a high speed electric or buy a newer gas cart. I will drive the cart around my neighborhood for 10 or 12 miles a day. There is one steep hill but it is mostly rolling terrain. Each side has its pro's an cons. If I go with gas I will have to go out and buy fuel constantly, do tune ups and deal with smell/noise. If I buy electric I will have to deal with limited usage and probable slow down on hills. Someone kick me in the behind and tell me what I should get..Im sure I will have more gas votes as this is a gas forum..Does anyone wish they had gone electric on here?

Re: Gas vs electric
You will probably use less gas than you think. A tank full seems to last forever even with my big block motor. And maintenance isn't very often really. Not when your talking 10-12 miles a day. Smell and noise.. not really a factor, especially with a newer cart. And the biggest advantage is it's always ready to go... I couldn't stand to wait for the thing to charge or lose power because the batts are running down.

Re: Gas vs electric
We are staying in a beach house at Emerald Isle in south outer banks,North Carolina, and each home has an electric ClubCar DS. After using them this week,I would stick with a gas for sure. These carts will not get out of their own way on a grade.Just my opinion and no offense to electric owners but for my use its got to be a gas.
