Default Precedent lift questions?

New guy here, just starting to dabble in the world of golf carts. Been doing a bunch of lurking here for awhile and a, about to pull the trigger on a 2012 Precedent.

Cart will be used for general neighborhood goofing off, camping trips and my main concern hunting.

My main question is about tire/wheel size.

I'm putting a 6 inch spindle lift on the cart to start with and I'd like to run either 13 or 14 inch rims on 23 inch tires. Are there any issues with this? A buddy of mine that is more cart savvy than I says that I wll run into scrubbing or rubbing issues on with the rear fenders. Cart will have a back seat.

If so, how can I correct this? Thanks

Heavy-Duty Rear springs will help. Don't put the fat chicks in the back.

Definitely go with heavy duty springs. 14" Wheels look the best, and you can find lots of combo deals with the 23" AT tires. Good luck!

Do I need to worry about shaving or grinding anything off of the rear fenders or will the springs alleviate the need for that?

That depends on the Wheel Offset and the Tire Size. You may or may not.

Use a true 6" Lift in the rear with heavy duty springs. Use a 3/4 offset on a 7" wide wheel and you will be fine.

My newest cart came with 14" wheels and 23-11-14 tires but I opted for 10" wheels and 22-11-10's for more sidewall flex when offroad. Plus, I just like the fat tire look.

As long as they've got 3" backspacing you'll be fine.

You may want to consider medium duty leaves or dual action leaves for ride quality
