Default 2010 club car precedent hill brake failure

My hill brake on my 2010 precednt will not engage. Is there something I can adjust so that it will click on place when I press the hill brake ?

I'm assuming you're saying parking break? Under the floor mat is the location of the break pedal adjustments. There are 4 screws to remove the mat then a plastic cover over the cable assembly. From there you can adjust the cable tension, you may need to take out some of the slack, If this doesn't help, you may need new break shoes.

There's no built in adjuster anywhere on that pedal mechanism unfortunately. Remove the pedal assembly from the car and flip it upside down. Look for wear where the pawl locking wheel rests on the accel pedal stopper. That's usually where it's worn. Take a picture and I'll let you know if it's a replaceable part or not.

Well I tried to disassemble the brake assembly but had problems it appears that mostly everything on he bottom side of the brake assembly is corroded and rusted out. I'm assuming that I'll need to replace the entire assembly. If anyone has a link or instructions on how to do this process let me know.

If you feel like I don't need an entire assembly let me know that as well.

Thanks again

Has the vehicle been near the beach? If it has, I'd just replace the entire pedal assembly. There's no fixing the corrosion that comes from coastal cars.

Yes. And for future reference when purchasing a pre owned cart, always check where the carts originated from, the cart was from mission Texas right in the coast.

Should this be concerning for other items on the cart? Nuts bolts spindles springs etc?

Not really. Not until you try to work on it at least. It won't hurt the rest of the car, just makes the hardware stubborn.
