I'll see if I can get my laptop to recognize the controller. I have an old laptop with windows vista and it doesn't work very well with the alltrax program.

I agree 100 percent. I don't even use this laptop any more. I bought a desktop with Windows 7 Pro on it that I use now. This old laptop just sits in the closet but it's the only thing I have to try and use on this controller short of removing it from the cart and bringing it in the house.

I have seen carts rolled into the front office or usb card linked together and thrown out the window to program a cart

Well I tried for 30 minutes and never got the program to find the controller. I'll bring my work laptop home and try it Monday. It has windows 8 so it may not work either.

You could take your desktop out to the cart. It doesn't have to be a laptop.

You might need this.

I have a cable that used to work fine. I'll try it with another laptop next week. If I had thought about it I could have just watched the light on the controller while I had the cover off to see if it's reaching full throttle.

Well I measured the mcor and got readings of 7.8k ohms up and 3.3k ohms down so I ordered a new mcor from David. It came in yesterday and I took it out of the box and put my meter on it and got 5.1k up and 0.1k down. Installed it today and now I get instant movement with the push of the go pedal. It's a little harsh on take off but I'll play with the alltrax settings to try and get that fixed. The cart accelerates much more smoothly now and works like it should.

Now the question is. Do I use the "5k-0" to throttle setting or the "Club Car 5k-0" setting.

Good question. If I ever remember to bring my work laptop home I'll play around with it. I'm just happy it works like it should now.
