Re: 2009 precedent Club Car
The on-board computer can fail and cause the controller and the rest of the system not to power up. Locate the OBC and un-plug the six pin connector from it. Use a paperclip or piece of wire to make a jumper between the Red and the Blue wires within the 6 pin connector on the vehicle wire harness. This will bypass the OBC from the system and allow the car to work without it. If it operates with the jumper in place, the OBC is to blame.

Re: 2009 precedent Club Car
It is definitely the fuse if you cannot get continuity, the fuse is in between the tow/run switch and the dash key switch.
2009 Precedent wiring Diagram. I found this picture from last time I worked on my cart, the control module is tilted towards the battery compartment, but if you follow the screwdriver, that is the fuse located at the tip of the screwdriver. It is accessible from under the cart if you look near that "fat" part of the harness on the drivers side of the module cover. |

Re: 2009 precedent Club Car
Want to add my thanks for this thread. I'm a newbie and shorted out a couple of wires the other day when I had my dash apart. This thread led me right to that darn hidden fuse!!
Thanks again! Now if I can just get rid of that bumpy ride from what I assume are slightly flat spotted tires. Just purchased an 09 Precedent that otherwise is in exvellent shape. |

Re: 2009 precedent Club Car
I have to assume the same thing as our cart seems to have developed what is best described as a "lumpy" ride too.... Bought the cart last year with new Sahara Classic tires and recently noticed the lumpy ride. Checked tire pressure, raised tire pressure, took cart out for extra use and it is still there. I guess that it just sits too much as my wife does not always use the cart while I'm gone for a month.
