Powerwise Charger doesn't work
I have a 2002 ez go txt. Batteries are testing a full 36 volts at the charge connector. However, when I plug in my power wise charger nothing happens. No click from the charger relay...nothing. I tried bypassing the charger relay and still got nothing to happen. Does it sound like the fuse is blown? I looked at the fuse, but couldn't see any visible damage. Anyway to test that? The charger worked fine up until a couple of days ago and then it just wouldn't charge anymore. Any ideas would help. Thanks.

Re: Powerwise Charger doesn't work

Test or bypass the reed switch in the cart charge receptacle.

Re: Powerwise Charger doesn't work
I wouldn't try that. If the fuse were blown for a reason, you'd simply blow something else up. To test the fuse, you just need to do a continuity test with a cheap $10 or so digital multimeter.

Re: Powerwise Charger doesn't work
Do a search and you will find a significant amount of info on how to test it. But in a nut shell you will test it for continuity with the charger plugged into the cart.

Re: Powerwise Charger doesn't work
That makes sense...duh. I'll check that. Btw, I also checked continuity on all the wires from the connector to the charger...all good. If I've read correctly in other places, if it were the relay, then the charger should have come on when I bypassed it...is that correct?

Re: Powerwise Charger doesn't work
I believe if the reed switch is bad with charger plugged in it will not let the charger turn on. Is this not correct?
