How can I be sure which terminals are which on the motor? A1-A2 S1-S2

Oh boy.... Hope this cat is paying you!! I went through hell with this myself. Take it all apart, cleaning all up so you can see what you are doing and follow diagrams. It's sometimes easier to just start from scratch, you'll go nuts trying to remember what goes where as it all sits in front of you.

This might help.

The two on the can are the Stator (Field) windings and the two on the end cap are the Armature windings.

If the cart moves backwards when F/R control is in Forward, reverse either A1 and A2, or reverse S1 and S2.

Finally got around to hooking up the batteries correct. Now it's on to the solenoid. If the lever is in f or r the cart wants to take off with out even pushing down the pedal.

Sounds like the solenoid is stuck closed. Is there continuity between the poles at all times?

Found the problem. Switch is F'd up. Would anyone know how to get a part number for this? I went to ezgo web site and it doesn't recognize the model and serial numbers. To old!
