36v txt sporatic starts > Solenoid ???
My 2002 sometimes goes and sometimes not when I push on peddle. Does not matter forward or reverse. "Always" get a click at the solenoid,
New batteries full charge, all contacts everywhere are clean, could the solenoid be always clicking and not really engaging so the motor will activate ??? hoping it is that simple. |

Re: 36v txt sporatic starts > Solenoid ???
It is possible for the solenoid to make the clicking sound without actually completing the high amp circuit. To test put the cart on jack stands. Remove the solenoid resistor. Repeatedly apply the gas until the cart does not respond. Care must be taken not to rev the motor. Simply ask the motor to engage and wait for it to fail. Once it fails hold the gas in the depressed position and test for continuity across the large solenoid posts or look for 36v (pack voltage) on the controller side of the solenoid.
I hope this helps |
