Default 20" or 19" tires on non lifted Onward

Has anybody installed 20" or 19" tires (14" rims) on a non lifted Onward 2 seater? I know ideally you would lift 3" but it seems like the tires would fit with minimum rubbing or issues? Please advise, thanks

That will be a very rough ride even on pavement.

Why do you say that, would not the bigger tires provide more speed and cushioning for a better ride?

That's what I'd ask him too... taller tire = speed increase + softer ride.

The bigger tires on smaller rims work good for me

All true and agree skinny tires on big rims looks great. but 2.5-3 sidewall is always rougher riding. Takes me back to my 30 series tires on my VWs

Of course, all depends on the tire/rim combination. A 20" tire on stock 8" rim will increase the speed and the ride quality. A 20" tire on large 14" rim will increase the speed also but, ride quality will be much more worse due to a very low sidewall high. A good and common compromise is the 20x8-10 tire ( 205/65-10 ) that will fit on most golf carts w/o lifting.
