Default 2021 E-Z-GO Express 4x4 Lithium Swap

Did the Lithium swap on the Express 4x4. What a difference from acceleration and range. It was a easy swap and the weight saving alone was impressive close to ~300 lbs. 76V 150Ah battery pack.

Fits in there nicely, 72v swap. Is the single lead acid remaining staying in there? Winch maybe?

I looked up that brand, decent specs. I wonder who's BMS they are using. Is there an audible click when you only turn the battery on?

Fleetlithium
Dimension: 19.71" x 17.9" x 11.4"
Weight: 167 LBS
250 AMP Continuous Discharge
600 AMP Max Discharge
76.8 Volt 150AH Lithium Battery

Would be nice to know how long that 600 amp max time limit is. After all, this is a dual motor, dual controller cart. Each controller 300 amp rated. It's not out of the question to pull 600 amps in certain conditions, stuck in the mud, steep grade, towing a house, etc.

Yes, The 12v is for the 3500lb winch and the various high power spot lights. The factory DC/DC is rated at 30amps, If winch and light are utilized at same time its at the max. When I ran test with this controllers will peak out at 530amps max up hill towing a mower and the controller wouldn't be able to hold that max draw longer than ~15 sec. This is the only set up I have seen that can sustain the current requirement of these tracker/Bad Boy recoil set ups. Having the Curtis tool also helped with some throttle control and calibration of the initial power take off, it spins the wheels to easily. But it is not necessary its plug and play for stock cart this set up.

Yea the massive weight reduction could cause some traction issues, I imagine you reduced the accel rates a bit?
Good on you for testing this under heavy load and actually collecting the data. You did it right! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, some traction loss but the gains in range, avail power overrides that loss of traction, Cart is still heavy. Yes some adjustment to the forward deadband and forward offset variables made for a crip throttle but overkill for what the cart is intended for. They are capable right out of the box.
