Couple of Clubcar questions
Picked up 2 carts with out batteries.
Would someone post a picture of the battery configuration please. I am assuming that these take 6-8v batteries? Any help is appreciated. |

Re: Couple of Clubcar questions
That picture you posted is a battery box for a 4x12v battery arrangement.
It can be modified to use a 6x8v arrangement. The 6x8v pack will have a higher capacity which allows more energy output for higher power motors, and will give a longer run time than a 4x12 setup. This post goes into a lot of detail, but the basic modification is simple. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=66901 |

Re: Couple of Clubcar questions
If you are just flipping them, the 4x12 is fine. I had 2 of them and lasted for years until I converted to Lithium. The 6x8 is a longer A/H configuration, but not a big difference if this is just to resale.

Yeah I was sorta thinking the same thing. He got 2 of them. FT is right but I would not convert them to sell them.

Re: Couple of Clubcar questions
Well crap. I’ve got 6-8v batteries thinking that is what it needs.
Anyway I will probably unload them as is. Iffin they are around here too long I will convert to 6-8v. Thanks for the link and the help to all. |

Re: Couple of Clubcar questions
Yeah, no one pays much for a non-running electric. It is too risky....
