Only other thing I could think of is maybe a motor issue. One of the brushes may have a bad connection so from a dead stop it takes a little bit to get going but once spinning it smooths out.

Possible but I wouldn’t think. You could try jumping it and see if the issue goes away. I would do that on jack stands.

Will my stock motor hold up if I put it back on jus to test and see if it could be in the motor

Yes. If you have the motor map for it that wouldn’t hurt and if you are worried just set the max output to 80%
