Decent size....reverse dent? Maybe, body question.
So I don't have a picture with me at work that shows this but I'll post it later when I get home.
My new to me golf cart lived it's life previously as a course rental so...it's been treated like a princess...... There a pretty good sized 'beauty mark' on the front drivers side cowl. I'd say it's raised about a good 1/2" higher than the rest of the 'hood'. I don't want to stand it down because the material would be too thin, and I don't want to build the area around it up with body filler, cause that's just wrong on so many levels. So my question is, since the body is plastic, is it possible to use a heat gun and 'reshape' the bump down? Has anyone every done something like this to their cart? At some point the wife was searching for stuff online and came across the Double Take Spartan, and really wants to go that route. I'm all for it, I just want to buy the other stuff for the cart first before dropping $800 on the body and lights. Not to mention the body kits are 6-8 weeks out to ship. So while we're getting the rest of the cart sorted, I wanted to get the original body looking a little better, so I'm painting it. Just curious if anyone has had a similar issue or might have insight into how this could be done. Thanks in advance. |
