Default Broken GE controller, 96 Club cart

Hello BGW and greetings from Sweden!! My first post

Im really impressed with the knowledge and how helpfull you all are to solve problems. Im a total newbee but i have learned so much about Club car just by reading this forum. Really amazing!

I just bought my first club car a couple of weeks ago and its a ’96 48V DS in a pretty rough condition but i figure i could give it a try and make it shine again.
The cart Id nr is A9635-521373 and it has a F/R switch, bypassed OBC, one solenoid and a GE controller with catalog# IC3645SH4D272C2 and serial# SH4D0567697P.
The controller is manufactured 2006-04-17 so its not the original one.

The previous owner sold the cart as a project since it do not run.
The cart just wouldnt start one day and he got tired of it and sold it cheap to me.

I have been doing some testing and im pretty sure that the controller is broken and I need to buy a new one. The problem is that I dont have a clue what to buy and I need your help to find a controller that is similar to the GE controller i have.
Let me know if I should write down more info about my cart.

Thanks for reading and take care!!

Welcome aboard. “ScottyB” is a site sponsor and sells a full Alltrax conversion that is nothing short of awesome. Here is a link to the page.

https://www.cartsunlimited.net

You can go other directions, but that’s my 2 cents.

ScottyB; could you please guide me in the right direction?
The local Club car dealer wanted $1400 for a controller (!) so i might just order a conversion kit instead and save $.

I don’t remember if you need three or five posts in the forums... but once you have a few you can send a private message to him directly.

I’m sure most will ship to you, you’ll probably just have to pay extra for a crate to be built, I used to run a company that did custom crating and shipping and could put you in touch with them if no one is willing to ship to you. You could get the sizes and weights from the cart company and then get a quote from my guys. Let me know if you need to go that route.
