Default Alltrax remote USB port

I've seen threads about issues when connecting a cable to an Alltrax USB port.
My concern was access to the controller USB port after installing a rear seat.
Hadn't thought of shorting cables.
Will at Alltrax said he has heard of people leaving a cable plugged into the controller port, put a baggie over the other end and stow it in the battery bay.
For those with a rocker FNR switch this panel mount adapter fits where the Curtis programmer port was - $16 Amazon or $4 ebay (4-5 weeks).
I used a round file to enlarge the hole to 1", a Dremel would probably work better.
The B-male to A-male cable is 5' and any excess cable can be wound up inside the FNR switch housing.
The adapter could be mounted on a plate in the battery bay.
The panel adapter is f-f USB A so a m-m USB A cable is needed to connect to a computer.
When I do a final install I'll use shrink tube on the connections to help hold them together and insulate them.

That is a good idea! I wonder if you could adapt it to a female micro USB port or something like that, so someone could use a common cable to program it? Just thinking of different options.

R&TBabich - perfect solution. Love that connection is protected from the elements.
On 2009 CC Precedent the controller port is located on the bottom edge of the dash, facing the floor. It would be harder to access than on your cart but would be out of the way. Of course, it would be unused space if the stock controller has been upgraded.
