Default Just inherited this bad boy!

Well perhaps "bad boy" is not the appropriate term YET

This was my parents 1995 Club Car DS. Batteries were replaced in 2017\18 and the cart is in good shape. My parents weren't using it much and my 1 y\o loves riding in it, so since it has seat belts and a oem rear seat they let us keep it. My father has since purchased another cart but I got the winning end of the stick on this deal lol.

Just bought a heavy duty 6 inch a-arm lift kit, but I'm stuck on wheel\tire choices. I prefer a bigger tire since we occasionally drive off-road, but I think the 8 inch rim with a fat tire looks kinda odd.

What do y'all suggest? I'm thinking a 10 or 12 inch rim but how big a tire can we run with no rub.

Also anyone know if I can convert oem rear seat bottom to flip\cargo seat?

You could probably go up to a 24-25” tire. My DS with 6” lift has 23” tires, measure 22” though, and there is still a good bit of room if I wanted to go bigger.

I rather stay within a practical size and have more clearance. You ride rear passengers too?

you can run 23" tires all day long. for rims I would go with 12" , 10" rims are fine but most tires are only 22". plus if you ever want to do disc brakes they fit better with 12s over 10s

from the title I thought you inherited a "bad boy buggy" and was going to ask what you didnt wrong to those people ....

Clearance comes from tire size. The lift gets the body higher, allowing for larger tires, but clearance is based on your axel height and that only gets higher with bigger tires. I think 22” is good a good height. I ride rear passengers with heavy duty springs and they are way stiff. If yours has a factory rear seat it’s probably set up fine for carrying people. If you do upgrade springs search around here for threads on the progressive springs vs installing the super stiff heavy duty ones.
