Default The up hill struggle with 48Volt CC

Hello I'm new to the forum and have 48v Precedent with new speed sensor and magnet upgrade. The problem we are having is while driving at full throttle up hill the cart will slow to a fast walk speed but on flat ground it will fly. I've tested batteries and they all four seem good with the correct voltage at rest individual and as a pack. I've not tried a load test yet and thought about motor, controller, etc. upgrades to get my up hill struggle fixed. Any ideas/upgrades to try first without sinking a lot of money. The wife is on a budget friendly track. If she can drive it up hill without complaining. I've done what I've set out to do.

It seems like you already understand what step 1 is.

Based on the past 1000+ folks that have posted the same scenario, you might consider one of these:

So what would be the easiest upgrade for torque and faster speed? Everything is stock except the magnet.

Stock: My 48v CC DS was 15 mph uphill or downhill with a good battery pack and 22” tires.

Bad battery: With only one battery failing the load test in my prior pack it would drop to 10 mph uphill but run 15 on flat ground. The old pack read over 8 volts per battery but, one dropping under load would cause a problem. The load test is important even if they all read the right voltage at a charge.

Current state: Now with a good pack 22” tires and a kit from David at revolution, I usually let off around 27 mph up hill because it feels like all I need! Start with the pack. Then add a controller you can build on or go for the kit all at once.

It’s a rocket now
