I wonder why I only have one resistor and one diode. I was sure I needed a diode on both sets of terminals. Luckily I have a diode I can remove and reuse on the new main solenoid

What does your new controller require?
I have an Alltrax XCT 48400 which requires a diode on the small and large solenoid terminals.
My OEM Curtis controller only had a resistor on the large terminals.
