Re: Solenoid not engaging.
I though You meant after all of our tests that he replaced one cable and it worked.....
The controller only providing 2.2v to the throttle and no output even with all valid input signals means it is bad. The OBC not providing +48v on the Blue wire means it is also bad. |

I thank you for confirming that the controller and OBC are bad. I second guess my self a lot when it comes to the electrical side of these cart. Will order a controller for it. I think the owner would be better off getting a smart charger than replacing the OBC. I will tell him his options and leave it up to him. |

Re: Solenoid not engaging.
I agree on the charger but You should also price an XCT-300 controller instead of another Curtis for replacement.

Re: Solenoid not engaging.
Yes the XCT-300 would be the way to go but I don’t think I could convince the owner to spend the extra money for it. If it was my cart I would not hesitate it would go good with my set up.

Re: Solenoid not engaging.
Still waiting on the OP to get a controller for this cart. He has come up on a Curtis 1510A-5250 off a IQ precedent. Can I put this in place of the 1510-5201.

Re: Solenoid not engaging.
OP picked up a used 1510A-5250. Installed it and the same think. No solenoid click or reverse. I checked all inputs and they all check out good
Lt blue 50.0 #5 OBC (Bypassed) Green 50.0 #6 MCRO Gray 50.0 #9 Tow/Run switch Tan 50.0 Ing. switch F/R 50.0 in Forward F/R 50.0 in reverse White #1 only 2.2 Yellow #2 0.0 to 1.8 OP then sent the controller that was on the cart to get repaired. Installed that on today still the same. All inputs check out good. Pin # 1 2.2 volts Should be 5 volts RIGHT. Pin #2 0.0 to 1.8. Wouldn't you say that the two controllers are bad. Am I missing some think??? . |

Re: Solenoid not engaging.
Maybe you have a short in the throttle wires.
Try disconnecting the MCOR 3-pin connector to see if the signal changes on pin #1 and #2 at the controller 16-pin connector. |

Re: Solenoid not engaging.
I am at a lost with this one. Everything that I have checked still points to the Controller is bad. I have a 2006 IQ cart that is running going to pull that controller off and install.
If that gets it going then like the old saying goes, You get what you pay for. |
