Question 2001 TXT Ez-Go Slowing Down

I have a 2001 TXT Ez-Go, and it's been getting slower and slower as the weeks go on. I adjusted the governor a few weeks ago by tightening the bolt. It no longer goes up hills that it use to have no problems with. Cleaned the air filter, fuel filter is clean. Also, it's now necessary to choke it almost everytime it sits for more than 5 minutes. Used to only have to do it in the morning.

Any ideas?

Make sure your pickup tube in the tank isn't sucking air. Also might want to adjust valves.

How would I check to see if the tube is sucking air?

adjust the valves,
also if your start/gen is over charging that'll slow it down. measure volts at the battery while running.

It's gotten to the point that it won't even run now. I press the gas pedal, and it idles but never catches enough to move forward or backward. I'm lost without it.

Sounds like it's not running at all, just the starter turning. Pull off the gas line and see if your getting gas also I had one that the pickup tube in tank come loose. It's just glued on the fitting that goes to the line. Did you adjust the valves? (10 minute job)
