Re: Rebuild engine or not?
did another compression test and is only about 92psi cart runs good but as soon as i go up any small incline it falls flat on its face, runs great downhill. Time for a rebuild and 1" shorter belt

Re: Rebuild engine or not?
Steelhorse79,
You might want to get the shorter belt first. 93 psi is not the end of the world and after I rebuilt my 86 I used the original (stretched and worn belt) and it too fell over climbing hills. After the new belt the thing ran like a trooper. I am not suggesting that a rebuild is not in your future but I would just see if the belt would do it for now. Dave |

Re: Rebuild engine or not?
I thought that also after reading the sticky about shorter belts.problem is I already ordered the rebuild kit then started searching the web for a 40" belt. Not a big deal as I also love a good engine rebuild. I will let you know what happens when the new belt comes in.
