Thanks bud. I didn't get a chance to take the head off yet to get it to a shop. I'll try to get it off this afternoon.

So how did you and the family like the cruise?

Just gave the motor a glance and it hit me how much is involved to get the head off. I'm a little worried about pulling the cam,ect out to get to the head bolts. Is thee a certain process that I need to know in order to remove and install everything? Or is there a manual for the motor?

It looks to be the original motor, is there a ID stamp somewhere on it that I can check out? I really need to get a manual, i'm probably mislabeling components. Here's some pics for reference, I think it's the cam and rocker arms rod or whatever it's called that has to be taken out to remove the three bolts that I believe holds it to the block. Feel free to correct me on anything and everything.

you seem to be correct to me..i guess you have to take and get it in time, remove timing belt"so you remember all this later on" then get the cam and rocker shaft off? im with you but honestly i have no idea about anything on that engine but you look correct for sure
you should be able to search online to find what engine came in the cart..prob just 1 type but if 2 then you need a id plate from the engine id think..
also..all manuels are usally free online if you search enough i think..i have free honda manuel i downloaded anyhow..
you find out the engine im sure we can find the "paul harvy" rest of the story

I talked to my neighbor this evening who works on dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, ect. He's going to come over this weekend to get the bolt out and tap the hole for a bigger one. So I guess that means I need to start ordering parts to get this thing back together. I'm still not completely sure if i'm going to put a lift and bigger tires on it, but i'm leaning that way. I'm figuring if I do a little customizing to it, the sell price will be higher so it may not go as quick as I want but I can use it until it sells.
