Finally got a compression tester.. It's only showing 90 not the 120 it should. Don't knw if previous owner did a bad rebuild. Since it has new gaskets.. Any ideas, anybody let me know. If not I'm thinking of taking it to a machine shop for a first step.

Compression is at 90, it's not at 120 where it should be.. Upper must of been replaced by previous owner because it looks new. It has spark. But wondering if it has enough.. Or maybe the did a bad rebuild and forgot a gasket.. Who knows how I can check this. Or should I just buy a new rebuild kit..

That motor should run with 90# compression. If the plug is dry, shoot about 2 seconds worth of carb cleaner into the carb, then try to start it.

I got new piston rings for it, cause mechanic at cart shop said one was messed up.. But whole top end is new, including piston and rings. Also all new gaskets now.. I put it all back together and at first seemed gas oil mix was coming out the exhaust exit of top end. I removed muffler to see what was going on better. It slowed down, when I choked it and pumped gas it sounds like a backfire and a puff of smoke comes out, but it does not stay on.. Once there was a little flame.. Now it will do that every time just about but won't stay on. Let me know what u think.. Guy at cart shop said it should work now, but something is still off.
