As for the original complaint/observation, if the cart's owner is noticing an increase in the "smell" of the exhaust, that's probably an indication that something has changed. It's possible that the air filter is becoming dirty and restricting the air intake. It's also possible that the float level in the carb has changed. Or the carb might need a cleaning. Make sure the choke cable is tight and isn't partially closing.
It's also possible that prolonged running at real slow speeds may have "loaded up" the muffler with a lot of unburned hydrocarbons. Giving it a long high speed run may clean it out again. |

I'm guessing it's from the slow driving this entire summer. The cart gets filled up with the non ethanol fuel from the marina. And those kids young teenagers are on it at least 8 hours per day. I'll do the service on it this weekend.
