PM'd you, Dave. I can definitely use it.

BTW, cranked it today, and it sounds strong. Didn't do a compression check yet. I think I may increase the fuel:oil ratio to really break it in. Got 100:1 right now, so maybe 80:1.

Increasing the amount of oil won't hurt it....but it won't really help it either. The stock oil injector mixes at between 150:1 and 300:1.

Thanks Slo. Wish you'd have mentioned that before I smoked out my garage. The blue smoke is quite nice ... NOT!

Anyway, the engine has been running quite a bit while I have readjusted the carb, and it runs very nicely. Obviously the PO had some other problems, because the carb was WAAAY out of adjustment.

Dave (Smallblock), I received the extension yesterday. It may be too small on the end that attaches to the muffler. I'll do some fitting, and post up some pics. I'll also get some compression numbers to see how it worked out.

BTW, I see Don Plowman has the new cylinder, piston, etc. package up for all of you G1 owners. Looks like a nice kit. That's definitely the way I will go the next G1 engine I work on.

As always, thanks for all of the help guys. I saw a post recently that blamed all of you for his addiction. That may be closer to the way I feel also. My wife is wondering when I'll get back to my two(!!) '72 Pontiac Lemans. I'm having too much fun with golf carts!
