What's the value
I have a 1982 Yamaha G1-A3 2 stroke gas cart. How can I find a value for it to sell it?

Re: What's the value
I am a sparky not a gasser, but I can tell you that location is key for pricing. You will need to give a bit more info for even a guess at a fair price. I can't find a gas yamaha in my area for sale at all.
What condition is it in? Are there any desirable modifications? Post some pictures. Lots of members here could help or even buy it, just need more info. |

Re: What's the value
Depends on condition, location, and prices for carts in your area. There are many factors that contribute to value, but ultimately it's what someone will pay for it.
I'd take a look at a local craigslist and see what other carts in your area are bringing. Good luck with the sale. |

Re: What's the value
I agree with craigslist. I see people on this site buying G1s for next to nothing and I'm floored. Where I live, ones that need a lot of work easily go for $1500+. I thought I got a deal on mine at $1000 then I see people on the site buying then for $100's. It's all about location.

Re: What's the value
In my area in NE Ohio:
G1 restored condition: $2000 (to a select buyer) G1 good condition: $1500 G1 needs tlc but running: $800 G1 basket case but running and complete: $550 G1 basket case not running: $200 With that said, I would only buy the $800 or $550 versions, unless I had a compete parts cart for the $200 version. I don't think I'd buy the $2000 or $1500 versions, I'd prob opt for a G2/G9 4 stroke cart. G1 2 stroke isn't for everyone, and they are quite old. Not a big market for them. |

Re: What's the value
They are dropping off a little here but if it runs and operates fully 500 usually 600 minimum, nicer one can go up to 1200 where the buyers are not so bright and don't realize they are antique, noisy, stinky, harder riding, etc. Hard to believe but a lifted old cart can go for more yet I see them for sale constantly with new spraycan paintjobs. G1 can be fast and bulletproof carts however, I have plenty of hours on G1s. I just don't see the value of older carts like the market does, and have talked to many a sad buyer of an old cart who didn't realize what they bought. Either way you pay what the market wants or search hard for a better deal. Deals are out there but can be hard to find.

Re: What's the value
At 1000 mine was lifted, had back seat, was running and was in great shape. I just needed to do the seals, who doesn't? and some minor secondary clutch work. Still it beats the 6-8k for a newer lifted one.

Re: What's the value
I looked at a steel body ezgo with a home welded lift, roof, windshield, rear seat, they had 3500 on it. It had nice 12in wheels on it lol.
