I don't know the spec for it, but the oil rings as said blow first in most of these. They run fine and burn oil. Either you rebuilt it, or you put a clone engine in it. If it has not been rebuilt before you can usually ring it and hone the cylinder, it may burn a little oil after that. If its already been done you need to bore it for oversize piston then it will be like new. Should use one quart of 10-30, maybe 30w if you are in a hot area, one quart only, that is full oil check the stick and never fill it more than what that shows on level ground. When mine went it was more for a rebuilt at a dealer than my whole clone swap was, but that was a nice new bore rebuilt at a yami dealer it was walk in the door and swap bare engines and walk out (no labor included).

Finally got it rebuilt and did the complete rebuild bored .20 and all new bearings and valves. The issue I am having now is put a new carb and when I connect the air filter box it smokes like crazy but disconnect and no smoke. Probably sounds crazy but it is driving me crazy....any ideas

What kind of smoke? Is it blackish, overly rich fuel smoke, or is it grey, burning oil smoke? It's possible that when you put on the airbox, you are restricting airflow resulting in a rich mixture that causes smoke. Or maybe there is oil getting sucked into the airbox via the breather?

It seems to be a whitish grey smoke with air box off and if I put my hand over carb and restrict air flow it smokes remove hand and smoke stops

When you rebuilt it -- did you replace the valve guide seals?

Since rebuild it ran fine then I noticed the carb adapter was cracked but still ran ok but this began when I replaced the carb adapter. Since then I have purchased a new oem carb and that is where I am now

Sounds like, from your description, that the grey-white smoke is oil smoke. The black smoke is usually from an overly rich fuel condition. The problem I'm having is trying to figure out how attaching the airbox can cause the engine to burn oil. The only thing that I can think of is that there is a hose on the airbox that connects to the breather, and it might be sucking oil through that. If there is such a hose, try disconnecting it and see if the smoke goes away.

I have taken off the hose and no change. This all started when I replaced the carb mount adapter before that it didn't smoke at all since rebuild and the other carb adapter was cracked. My other thing I am going to check is to see if the exhaust is finally starting to burn off oil from before rebuild. Thanks and I will let you know what I find
