Default New g2 cart starting problems

Hi guys I'm new to the forum this is my first post looking for some help.

I just bought an older g2/g9 shaped golf cart (not sure which one it is exactly it has a weird serial number) I have only used it on one round of 18 only just made it. But my problems are that the acceleration has a flat spot in it so that I need to be very delicate with the accelerator to get action out of it. and also when it gets warm it has trouble starting . So the starter motor starts but the motor won't start or it won't kick into gear and also sometimes It takes a lot of playing around with the pedal to get the starter motor started.

Then once it gets up and going it runs great! Until I stop again then I need to play around with the pedal for 10 - 40 seconds to get it going again

I have done most of the basic stuff cleaned the carberator as best I could, changed the spark plug, cleaned the air filter, drained the fuel, new engine and trans oils.

If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it
Thanks Matt
