Default Fuel Filters for DS

The 1995 DS manual shows two fuel filters, a Primary and a secondary. They carry different part numbers. Are they really different parts? If so, why? They look the same from photos.

They are both 30 micron inline filters, nothing special....can pick them up at any auto parts store. Why they are listed as different parts numbers not sure. I've changed many out over the years and guess I never noticed a part # difference. Just make sure you pay attention to the flow arrow when installing.

I never noticed that there were 2 different part numbers either!

It's kind of funny...
I went through some of my other IPL's and only 2000 to 2003 had the same filter listing for both,
then noticed that from 2004 to present, they only list one fuel filter for all models...
(The only time I've seen just 1 filter told me that the owner was too cheap, or lazy to put in the 2nd filter!)

Not so on my 2007...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll plan on replacing them with the same part number.

That pic is almost 11 years old, (when I bought my cart new) it's the only pic I have that shows both filters!
Granted, it's still pretty clean ... but not NEW clean!
