2010 Club Car DS Brakes
I have a 2010 DS with a 6-inch lift and the brakes seemed like they didn't work well. I put new pads on and now they are worse, they hardly work at all and you have to press the peddle extremely hard. I purchased aftermarket pads from Carts Parts Plus. Any suggestions on what I should try?

OEM Pads.
Aftermarket pads are hit or miss. Some brands are OK, others are just crap. Also make sure the levers in the brake plate move easily. And make sure none of the cables are bent or sticking. Give David Hicks at Revolution a call. He's got the right stuff. |

Thanks, seems like I read a few posts about people recommending these shoes from severe duty shoes carts part plus. Probably should have just gone with OEM.

The drums may have a glaze on them, get some medium Emory cloth, and clean (sand) off the glaze.
Wouldn't hurt to rough up the shoes a little also at the same time! |
