Default 92 club car gas leaking fuel after shutting it down

I cleaned the carb, drained the fuel tank, replaced all lines and both filters a couple weeks ago. Cart has ran fine ever since. Put 5 gallons of fuel in the tank yesterday and kids ran cart around the yard all evening. Come out this morning to fuel dripping out of the overflow line on garage floor. Cart still running fine but every time I shut it off fuel drips. If the float was stuck wouldn’t it not run correctly? I’m stumped here

Personally I think the float is "close to" but not properly adjusted. Allowing it to run with demand from the carb, but still out enough that it's leaking... You may have to tweak it a hair more...Check your oil for gas contamination too, just in case any fuel is getting into the engine oil. If it is, or has been since this occurred, change it out.

Sounds like the float is stuck, or some debris got into the float needle. These don't typically have any adjustment so if it's not closing its because of dirt or varnish.

Check the oil for fuel! Usually if the float sticks it fills the bowl and starts running fuel into the carb through the main jet and then it runs down the intake port into the chamber. It can slowly fill the crankcase with fuel and you might not notice until it's filled to the top and running out of the intake hose. (runs fine doesn't necessarily mean it IS fine, and running it with diluted oil will eat the bearings and rings)
