You take the Allen head screw out and get a 3 jaw puller. With the screw out you put a bolt in the hole with the head of the bolt resting on the clutch. I used a 1/2 x 3 inch bolt. You use the head of the bolt to hold the center screw of the 3 jaw puller. Then the 3 arms of the puller go in the opening of the top of the clutch were the ramps are. Start tightening down on the puller and it will come off slowly. Be Careful the spring will go flying it you don't hold it down when it comes all the way off. Then you have it a part. If you are looking for a new spring I have not found one yet.

I did. I used a piece of 1/4" thick channel iron for the top piece and was suprised to see it bend. I think i will take your wise advise and get a new one. thanks a bunch.

Are there any tips or tricks to removing a secondary that is stuck on the shaft?

i did a search on just that this morning, found a handful of threads. lots O'Lube abd a rubber hammer seems to be the main remedy. although others have used friendly force with tie rod separators, and prying tools with caution since the clutch is aluminum..breakage can occur.
good luck, mine is at home soaking up oil currently.
